Mogas Family Perseverance Scholarship

Coming from humble beginnings and a strong work-ethic, the Mogas Family has endured and witnessed tremendous stories of perseverance. The same story is familiar to one too many high school students of South Texas who struggle with the finanicial decision to attend college. Stories of hardship have inspired the Mogas Family to create an opportunity for a student to make the decision to persevere against odds, seek and fulfill their goal of earning an undergraduate degree, despite the lack of financial resources to do so.

This scholarship is eligible to incoming freshman who plan to enroll full-time at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Qualifications include: US Citizen and students who have financial need. The recipient must work a job while enrolled at Texas A&M University-Kingsville to be eligible for this scholarship. Preference is given to students from South Texas and first-generation college students. The Mogas Family’s intent for creating this scholarship is not based on academic performance therefore grades, scores, and/or class rank is not a factor in the selection process.

Applicants will be reviewed by the University Scholarship Committee and interviews may be requested prior to awarding.
